About Trainer
Jasper is a registered dietitian with over 20 years of clinical practice, currently dietetics manager
and critical care dietitian at the Aga Khan University Hospital. He holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Food Nutrition and Dietetics from Egerton University and a Master of Science degree in
Food Science and Nutrition from a consortium of European universities (in Belgium, Ireland,
Germany and Portugal) under the Erasmus Mundus Mobility Scholarship Program. He also has
undergone several Postgraduate trainings, namely Postgraduate training in Pediatric Nutrition
from Boston University, Postgraduate training in Nutrition in Changing Global Environment from
Hebrew University of Jerusalem Israel, Critical Care Nutrition, Diabetes Care and Education, and
Kinanthropometry. He is currently registered as a PhD research candidate in Nutrition and
Dietetics at Kenyatta University focusing on determining the effectiveness of finger millet – oyster
mushroom composite supplementation on inflammation, body composition and glycemic control
among Type 2 Diabetes patients.
